Vita
I was born in 1975 in Bruck/Mur in the green country Styria. In 1993 I graduated from the high-school in my hometown. After military-service I moved to Vienna in 1994 where I first tried to study “economy & data-processing” which failed. In 1996 I joined the Vienna Police-Departement. After a few years of duty in the noble 18th district of Vienna I attended the so called base-training for leading police-officers (police-language: “rank-course”). After 2 1/2 years of being a leading police-officer in the 16th district of Vienna, where I also live with my family, in November 2006 I changed to the department for fingerprint-analysis.
Since 2001 my wife Flou lives here with me. We married in June 2002. Our children's names are Simon and Stefanie.
I started photographing in 1985 with a „REVUE“-pocket-camera which I got for christmas. A few years later my daddy "Graukopf" Karl gave me his Minolta XG-1 - equipment as a present. With this device I shot the biggest part of the pictures which are shown on my pages. An Interrail-Trip in 1992 inflamed the passion for backpack-tourism in me. Since the summer of 2005 I entered the world of digital photographing by purchasing a “Canon Powershot Pro 1” - digital camera.
Apart from that I like to read and go to cinema with my colleague Heimo preferring exceptional movies (Hollywood, no thanks!). We favour visiting the old, small cinemas with not too comfortable chairs, small screens and the familiar clattering of the film-projector in the back.
My newest internet-project deals with the creative parts of my police-colleagues an is called "The Police-Cafe".
